• 名稱雖帶有「亞馬遜」，這個人工雜交類群並非原生於亞馬遜雨林，其親本來源與亞洲有關。
• Alocasia × amazonica 被視為 Alocasia × mortfontanensis 的異名；RHS 也將 Alocasia amazonica 的名稱狀態列為異名。
• 這個雜交類群曾以室內植物身分獲得英國皇家園藝學會 Award of Garden Merit。
